Plus Shawl Kit
When do I not complain about a knit? Very rarely, but the Plus Shawl by Olga Buraya-Kefelian is truly one of the most enjoyable knits I have done in years. I like it so much that I want to make another, as the first is a gift for my mum. Right after we wrap up the Briochevron Cowl KAL (June 30th) I thought we could cast-on a fun project that works as a great second (or third, fourth, fifth... you get the picture) project for entertainment and enjoyment. To help you get the most our of our Plus Shawl knitting adventure I am going to curate some great kits here at different price points so that we can all knit together and end up with gorgeous FO's. The best part about this shawl is it really is just all knits, purls and slipped stitches, but they are put together in an inventive and elegant way that creates the most interesting finished shawl I have made in forever.
This week I am featuring two kits: Little Bandit and Bohemia Light!
Each kit includes enough yarn so that you can use either as your MC or CC, you get to choose and there is no wrong option. The Bohemia Light kit is subtle and neutral where the Little Bandit Kit is bold and contrast rich. Either kit will get you the correct gauge and a stunner of a finished shawl, pick your kit and come and knit with me!
If you want to make your own kit you will need 731m of MC (the background) and 513m of the CC (the plus shapes)

PLUS shawl
Worked from side to side this highly textured shawl features staggered graphic motif all the way throughout. The three-dimensional effect is achieved by combining easy knits and purls together with slip-stitches for the unique technique! Engaging rhythm of knitting is enhanced by the use of solid and gradient yarns that provide a wonderful opportunity to showcase a perfect marriage between pattern and continuous evolution of colors, that make this design a fun knit and even more enjoyable to wear!
